Here are some of my favorite finds from this week…
FEMA for Kids: This site has an excellent collection of resources for kids, parents and teachers regarding disaster procedures, safety, and prevention. It’s easy to navigate and lots of fun.
SMART Board, Airliner & Senteo Activities: This site has a large collection of SMART Board lessons for all ages and all subject areas. I love that it includes foreign languages and music/art. The Senteo question sets are integrated into the ends of the content lessons for ease of transition and assessment.
Computer Lab Favorites: Scholastic does it again. The activities on this spinning wheel take anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes and cover all areas of the curriculum.
Teaching With Google Earth: This site is designed for Geoscience educators, and it gives a lot of great tips for using Google Earth in the classroom.
Read Across America & Dr. Seuss Links: In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday this week, here are some links that I have compiled to teach about Dr. Seuss and his literature.
And on a less-than-educational note, Tequila Sunrise Sangria. I love Sangria! Mmmmm. Enjoy!
